We are The Schillereff Family and our passion is raising local pastured meats for Northwest families like ours. We believe the best beef comes from cattle grown naturally, so we choose to raise our beef on “island time” - free from routine antibiotics, hormones and animal bi-products. Our family raises each animal from birth to butcher, growing all our own feeds and implementing low stress management. These practices foster a humane and calm environment that allow our animals to grow naturally on beautiful island pastures.

Our beef is packaged by local USDA inspected facilities that are family owned and operated. Each cut of beef from Oak Island Farms is traceable to one single animal raised on our ranch. From juicy steaks to nutritious bones for broth, we provide all cuts of our pastured beef for your enjoyment. We bring the ranch right to you by offering local delivery straight to your doorstep! For those wishing to fill the freezer, we also offer custom harvest shares (quarters, halves and wholes) throughout the year.

Our farm works closely with local wildlife and ecological management groups to graze our island pastures in a fashion that fosters wild bird habitat, controls runoff, reduces bank erosion and supports the continued growth and conservation of wild meadow lands. We believe that grazing cattle in cohesion with native species not only supports the sustainability of our lands, but produces a beef product that is healthy, wholesome and most important- tasty. Our beef cattle are the greatest converters of solar energy, turning grasses we cannot digest into rich proteins both delicious and nutritious. Oak Island Farms beef is good for you and the planet!
